Followed you here from Ravelry and I have to say you are my kind of traveler. I travel by myself quite a bit, not necessarily by choice, but I enjoy it. And I would have joined you on that walk in a flash.

Just saw this movie on HBO yesterday and was captivated by the scarf instead of all the CGI. Any chance of publishing a pattern on Ravelry?

Hey there, Janet! I found your lovely blog while searching for the answer to an alpaca question that I have. Your yarn looks just gorgeous and the beastie that provided it is quite handsome herself.

I am wondering if you hand carded this wool, and if so could you please tell me what size carders (72 point or 108 point) you used. I have just received a magnificent gift of a massive garbage bag full of various alpaca wool, including some baby fleece. My problem is that I don't have carders yet, so I'm looking for some advice.

Thanks a lot,
Jenny

I was just given a spinning wheel and it needs some repairs so I was looking through the internet and I found yours. It is very similar, I was wondering, that is a band that goes around the wheel and up to the bobbin correct? Where do you think I could get a replacement one?

I absolutely understand the draw of travelling alone. It's so much easier to get done what YOU want to get done and when you want to do it too. Mind you, it's nice to meet up with folks during that time, you know for food & such, and then wander off on your own again. It's sort of soothing really. :)

no bats but a snake on our doorstep ,we attached a bell to our back door to remind us that the brown snake liked to sun itself on our step, the bell always sent it on its way before we stepped out. Brown snakes are the not the prettiest but are quite dangerous here in Australia, never the less we never had a problem with them.

She's lovely and your spun fibre is gorgeous. :) I really like all her different colours. Sort of a calico Alpaca! Now, what will it become? LOL
