Hi Debbie,
My sister, who has all the books, thinks it might be a sharp shinned hawk. It definitely fits the description. This bird had a peachy, pink chest so I don’t think it’s a peregrine though that would have been cool.

Hi Woolthing, love your blog! I’m not a bird expert but I think that is a Peregrine falcon. It’s a beautiful bird. It would be a real treat if that is a Peregrine as they are considered a species at risk in Ontario.

OMG this is my wheel!! I love it and had no idea where it came from. I was given the wheel by my sister-in-law and it was given to her!!!! I looked and look for one like this as I wanted new bobbins but couldn’t find who made these wheels. I did find a great bobbin maker though and now have 6 bobbins and a lazy kate for a fantastic price. Anyway my girlfriend is looking for a wheel and I would love her to getone of these hwo do I find one for sale???
