Spin This
I recently started spinning after years of saying that I had no interest. I love it. So I went to a spin in last weekend and it was an education. I sat between two women who were a couple of decades older than I am, and I’m no youngster. What I found interesting is that they were still interesting, still learning, still growing.
So often we think that the old lady knitting or spinning has given up on life but both of these ladies and the dozens more over 5 decades old still take classes and travel. I often down play my interest in woolly things because the connotation is that it’s for grannies, of which I am one, and therefore not of interest to others. No more of that. I am coming out of the yarn closet. I knit. I spin. I would rather spend my time dying fibre than spinning it and then knitting it into something of beauty (or at least interest) than go to a party or watch a TV show. If I can do that creating with others so much the better but please let my hands and mind be busy.
I joined the mystery stole craze and I’ve finished clue #4. Now there is a workout for the brain.
I eagerly await the next clue and will post a picture after I’m done.
